TUMBE FESTIVAL 2026

Tumbe Festival 2026 will be held at Keraton Banggai and Banggai City Square from December 1st to 4th, 2026, with the theme "The Rhythm Of Culture: Harmony in the Land of Benggawi". Its main objectives are to preserve the traditional Tumbe ritual, promote tourism, and strengthen the ties between three regencies: Banggai Regency, Banggai Kepulauan Regency, and Banggai Laut Regency.

The highlight of the event is the Malabot Tumbe Ritual, a traditional procession for receiving Maleo Bird eggs from the Batui Indigenous Community (Banggai Regency) by the Banggai Kingdom. The entourage transporting the eggs will travel by sea, stopping at several points, namely Pinalong (Bangkep) and Tolo Bay (Mansalean), before being received through a sacred ritual at Keraton Banggai on December 4th.

The local government will also organize side events at Banggai City Park, featuring various art and cultural performances, MSME empowerment, competitions, and other exciting activities. The festival aims to attract up to 25,000 visitors, both international and domestic tourists, to boost the local economy.
